Well, what strange weather we are having. One minute a hot sizzler, the next wet and windy. It certainly makes occasion dressing a little trickier when you don’t know quite what the elements are going to throw at you.
I have some wonderful transitional pieces here at Deja, which will suit any event no matter the weather. They are from my premium brand – Bella Blue, so a little more expensive than usual, but in my opinion worth every penny. They are all beautifully cut and made of top-quality fabrics, as well as coming in a variety of styles and prints. Whether a wedding or a day at the races I have the perfect dress or top for you.
Casual wear has been flying off the rails, but I still have a few pieces available. Oversized tops, (perfect for that workout girls!) casual tops and dresses in soft pastel colours, and our camouflaged trousers have all proved popular so don’t miss out. Also if you want something slightly more formal try one of these lovely, flowing tops in pure white, blue, or yellow. Perfect over the Deja own label capris.
Last month, I hosted the delightful Cranleigh Cuties for a COVID-friendly fashion evening. Sitting outside in glorious sunshine it felt like we were abroad in hotter climes. There was a lot of fun and laughter as the Cuties took it in turns to try on numerous outfits, which were then scored a yeah and nay as they strutted their stuff on the catwalk. After a few glasses of Prosecco and a free gift they departed, happy and slightly tipsy with their new outfits including matching tops. I am happy to run similar evenings should you be interested. A minimum of six and a maximum of twelve of your friends are needed. That way I can provide a personalised service. Give me an idea beforehand of sizes, colours, cuts, etc and I can tailor accordingly. As well as Prosecco and a gift from me, I will give a 10% discount on all purchases. As always there is no pressure to buy, the only requirement is to have a great time!
I am away on my usual summer jaunt to Cornwall, so my colleague Sue has been holding the fort. Sue has plenty of fashion retail experience, some of you will know her from her days as manager of Gerry Weber, so she will be able to provide expert advice to help you with your late summer choices.
New jewellery is also in this month. I’m delighted to be the only supplier of the Envy brand in Sussex and I have some fabulous necklaces and bracelets to complement your outfit choices.
Just a reminder August opening hours are slightly different. Monday to Wednesday is by appointment only. Thursday to Saturday we are open as usual. It’s will be back to normal in September, when I will be welcoming, dare I say it, our autumn/winter range!
